BEM VINDO - MANTA DIVING CENTER WELCOME YOU IN THE UNDERWATER NATURE RESERVE OF MADEIRA

In 1982 Manta Diving was the first diving base to open in Madeira. As a result of the high standards and excellent services provided it is the only diving base in the Atlantic with ISO certification. The diving base lies on the protected south side of Madeira and is the only one with a hotel (www.galoresort.com) on the shore of the underwater nature reserve. Diving and snorkeling in the tropical and Atlantic conditions which are supported by the nearby Gulf Stream is an unforgettable vacation experience.
Furthermore, we are a member of the largest sports diving association CMAS and the only 5 - star CMAS/ Barakuda Training Center in Portugal. The base has been awarded the Oscar of the diving industry - the Golden Dolphin - by the readers of the magazine "Tauchen": Since 2000 it was among the best three dive centers eleven times and has been the winner of the category "Best Base in the Atlantic" five times.
Training is provided according to internationally accepted guidelines of CMAS and PADI. In addition, the Manta Diving Center is a Sponsor Member of the largest Shark protection organisation Shark Project (www.sharkproject.org), and the underwater nature reserve park of Madeira Garajau.
